Lynn designs unique furnishings and architectural details and supervises a vast array of fabricators from drapery and furniture workrooms to cabinetmakers and stonecutters, to mention a few. She works with a diverse group of architects, building contractors and various trade contractors, managing the relationships of all involved on large, detailed and complicated projects, to ensure the successful and most cost efficient execution of design concepts.
Designer, Lynn Garelick has completed several renovations and/or additions of homes, condominiums and apartments in Fairfield and Westchester Counties, as well as the city of New York. She has also designed and completed major residential projects in Massachusetts, upper New York State and Virginia. Lynn was a featured designer in The Merrywood Designer Showhouse (2006), The Greenwich Designer Showhouse (2007) and the Westchester Designer Showhouse (2009). Currently, Lynn continues to work with clients that she started with 30 years ago; in fact, she now works with the children of many of these clients! One of her current projects is the complete renovation of a lovely apartment in New York near Union Sqaure.
In addition to her professional life in Interior Design, Lynn is involved in a number of organizations and activities within the her profession and the community at large. She is the President of the CT Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers for 2012-2013. She is on the board of the Greenwich Arts Council, a member of the Greenwich Art Society, The Art Society of Old Greenwich and is a Docent at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich. Lynn is a member of the National League of American Pen Women, Inc. The Greenwich, Connecticut, Branch. She is also active at Christ Church Greenwich, where she the Church Historian and a member of the Property Commission.
Lynn enjoys spending time with her family. Bruce, her oldest son and his wife Ashley and their two children, Liv (12) and Andrew (10), live in Cohasset, Massachusetts (grandchildren are wonderful!). Jeff, her younger son, lives in San Francisco; a great reason to travel west occasionally!
